Our Programs - Weight Loss Programs
All of our programs are centered around 2 and 1/2 main concepts:
- Effective weight loss has to be permanent – meaning that the real challenge begins AFTER you’ve lost the weight, and this is as much a psychological challenge as a physical one.
- In order to make clients ready for the challenge of maintaining their target weight, the weight loss itself has
to be easy, fast, and confidence building.
- Clients have to able to quickly re-set back to their target weight if they get off track so they
can resume their weight-stability program where they left off and continue building on their
success.
- Clients have to able to quickly re-set back to their target weight if they get off track so they
So all of our programs feature our New Direction weight loss phase AND our Compass classes using our
proprietary advanced behavioral support program (we employ more trained behavioralists per client than any other
program in the area). We always aim for long-term weight stability and are committed to providing each client
with not only the tools, but the active support to stay at their target weight.
The difference between the Rediscovery, Quick20 and Chrysalis programs lies in either how the support has been tailored to the audience (as in the case with our Chrysalis program), or in the length of the weight loss vs. post weight-loss phases.
The Rediscovery Program, our core program, is for clients who are looking to lose more than 30 pounds of weight or who have been told by their doctors to lose weight. If other diet programs have failed you, and you’ve found that your body seems to make weight control seem like an unfair or up-hill battle, than this is likely the program for you.
Quick Twenty applies the same weight loss phase from the Rediscovery Program to those who only need to lose a quick 10 to 20 pounds. It is an accelerated, 6-8 week program for those who are relatively healthy, but have recently gained a few more pounds than they’re comfortable with.
Chrysalis is similar to the Rediscovery Program, except that the behavioral support has been specially tailored to adolescent clients and the program has been expanded to account for family and peer-group dynamics. Parents will find this program involves them as a necessary component to their teen’s success.
