What is the purpose of the exercise consultation? The exercise consultation will assist you in developing an exercise program suitable to your individual fitness level and your needs. Establishing a fitness routine early on will help minimize muscle mass loss and will aid in weight loss. Also, it is important to have an exercise routine in place for an easier transition into weight maintenance. Adherence to regular exercise is the #1 predictor of long-term success in weight management and is essential for general health.
What information will I receive from the consultation? The exercise physiologist will review your exercise history and current exercise with the goal of finding a routine that will fit your lifestyle. They will show you different types of exercise and offer recommendations.
What do I need to wear? Wear clothes and shoes in which you feel comfortable and be prepared for possible exercise instruction.
